In a new view of Earth that is being called the “Black Marble“, the NASA/NOAA Suomi NPP satellite has used its high resolution Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) to capture crystal clear, cloud-free images of the entire globe. The agencies stitched together the best images over nine days of image capture, producing a view of Earth with a sureal feel. Check out the video for an explanation of these real satellite images.
