The YouTube Space Lab is a competition that invited high school students around the world to submit proposals for an experiment they would like to perform in space. The winning experiments are currently aboard the International Space Station, investigating the adaptation of leaping spiders and nutritional needs of space bacteria. In this special presentation hosted by Bill Nye, the three Space Lab winners had the chance to speak with astronaut Sunita Williams about the progress of their experiments – including a look at the well-adapted spider – and life on the station.
